Every author has a list of career milestones they hope to hit. Some of them may be big goals, like hitting a list, having a TV or movie adaptation made of your book, or receiving an insane advance. And some goals are small but still special. One of my goals has been to be on someone’s yearly “Best of” list…but I didn’t expect to make Kirkus Reviews’ best romances of 2023 list! But Ana María and Gideon’s story has been tapped by Kirkus, along with romances from superstar authors like Sarah MacLean, Kate Clayborn, Adriana Herrera, Julie Anne Lone, Felicia Grossman, Farah Heron, Rachel Lynn Solomon, and Alexis Hall. I’m overwhelmed…and fiercely proud that my unapologetically Mexican sisters have been tapped with such an honor! What a way to realize a goal!
